About

Hello friends!

My name is Katie Jackson. I was born in 1989, and my husband and I have been married since 2013. I have an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education, and I am currently homeschooling our two children.

I have been writing since I was a teenager. In High School I spent most of my extra time in class reading, or scribbling in notebooks- filling them with thoughts, poems, rants, and doodles.

It seems only natural that years later I would have a blog.

Following threads of curiosity and wonder have influenced the topics of my writing throughout my life. Many of those topics have included books and movies I love, nature, psychology, spirituality, questions and thoughts about Christianity, and existential musings.

Not much in that sense has changed. I have spent years studying the wisdom of spiritual teachers and learning from various religious texts, scripture, and mystics. I have been healing through therapy, reading, and many conversations with the Creator.

I am not an expert in anything in particular. I am still learning and growing, and I hope to be learning and growing until I die.

‘Woven In Wonder: Following Threads’ is dedicated to the continuation of my curiosities and wonderings- the spark of light my childhood mind always wanted to follow.

“Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting —
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.”

(Wild Geese, Mary Oliver)

My hope for this blog is to connect- my wild goose call. It’s me shouting, “Hey! I exist! I’m human like you! Maybe we have some things in common. Like fear, perhaps. Or joy. Maybe anger, hope, or shame.”

Let’s start following-
